SENIOR SCHOOL

PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE

Academic life at this stage is ambitious, engaging and rooted in the traditions of an outstanding British education. Students are encouraged to think independently, build secure subject knowledge and take pride in their work.

A Broad Academic Foundation

In Years 7 to 9, students follow a broad programme based on the English National Curriculum, developing strong foundations across English, mathematics, the humanities, sciences, languages (including Thai, French and Spanish), as well as the arts and digital disciplines.

In Years 10 and 11, students begin their IGCSE courses, studying a core of English, mathematics and the three sciences alongside optional subjects that reflect their interests.

School Directed Courses

For music, art, drama, creative technology and computer science, we offer St Paul’s Girls’ School’s well-established School Directed Courses. These courses have been developed to allow deeper and more individualised learning and are equally accepted on university application forms alongside other qualifications such as IGCSEs.

Sixth Form and the IB Diploma

From 2030, students will progress into our Sixth Form, following a rigorous pre-university pathway through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

The IBDP was chosen, rather than the more traditional British A Level pathway, in consultation with St Paul’s Girls’ School and SPGS International as part of our forward-thinking vision for education. With its focus on critical thinking, breadth and depth of study, and strong international outlook, the IB Diploma prepares students exceptionally well for a complex and ever-changing future.

Our approach to teaching and learning throughout the school is aligned with the IB philosophy, ensuring a smooth transition into the IB curriculum.

University Preparation

In many ways, the Sixth Form marks the culmination of a student’s education, combining academic challenge with leadership, enrichment and university preparation.

Dedicated staff guide students through university applications and interviews, drawing on the expertise of our parent school in London. Students are supported in developing a strong sense of purpose and direction for the future.

By the time they graduate, our students are confident young adults with individual passions and strong opinions, shaped by a truly holistic education. It is this that ensures success at university and well beyond.
